For dinner Dan made hamburgers on the grill and we ate outside. I was surprised at how much hamburger Lily ate. She's never really wanted to eat them before. I kept asking her if she wanted more burger. Soon she started saying burger too - "burba". Later, she was still hungry and we gave her some chicken salad. I told her a chicken says "bock, bock". She now says "ba, ba" for chicken.
This is a really interesting thing that happened the other day. For a while now, I have explained to Lily that you go potty on the toilet. So, she kinda knows what it's for. Well, a few days ago I asked Lily if she needed a diaper change and she grabbed her diaper and said "pee, pee". That was cute. Yesterday she came up to Dan and me and grabbed her diaper again and said "pee, pee". I said, "you have to go pee, pee?" I took her into the bathroom and sat her down on the potty. She didn't go, but I could tell she had just gone when she told us about the pee, pee because she was wet. So, wow, she actually knows when she is going potty. At this rate, I'll have her potty trained by 18 months. Wouldn't that be something?
